RICHMOND, Va. — The Girls Academy U15 National Championship field has been reduced to four after an exciting opening night of quarterfinal action in Richmond, with four nationally ranked clubs advancing one step closer to a National Championship.
No. 1 overall seed NEFC Red, No. 3 Lou Fusz Athletic (LFA), No. 4 Tophat Gold, and No. 6 SC del Sol each earned impressive victories to secure their place in Friday’s semifinals.
NEFC Red produced the evening’s most decisive result, defeating Keystone FC 5-1 behind an explosive attacking performance. LFA advanced with a 4-1 victory over STA, while Tophat Gold earned a composed 2-0 win over Galaxy SC. SC del Sol completed the semifinal field after edging Real Futbol Academy 2-1 in one of the night’s closest contests.
Friday’s semifinal matchups feature two compelling storylines. Top-seeded NEFC Red will face Southwest Conference champion SC del Sol, while Frontier Conference champion and reigning U15 Champions Cup Champion LFA renews its rivalry with Tophat Gold.
The Lou Fusz Athletic–Tophat Gold semifinal is a rematch of the 2026 Champions Cup Quarterfinals, where LFA earned a convincing 3-0 victory before going on to capture the U15 Champions Cup title. Friday’s meeting gives Tophat Gold an opportunity to reverse that result with a place in the National Championship on the line.
Friday’s semifinal field features four conference champions, four nationally recognized programs, and the reigning U15 Champions Cup champion. With every remaining team having earned its conference title, the U15 division continues to showcase the very best the Girls Academy has to offer as the race for the 2026 National Championship reaches its final stages.
