Girls Academy Joins 2025 Generation adidas Cup with Inaugural Girls Division
CHARLOTTE (March 25, 2025) – The Girls Academy (GA) is proud to announce its participation in the 2025 Generation adidas Cup, marking a historic step for elite girls’ soccer in the United States. For the first time in the tournament’s prestigious history, the competition will feature a Girls Division, providing a premier platform for top GA talent to compete on the global stage.
As part of MLS NEXT’s strategic alliance with the Girls Academy, two GA All-Star teams will take the field against some of the best international clubs in the world, FC Bayern Munich and Manchester City FC, in a round-robin tournament at the U16 level. The competition will take place from April 16-20 at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, culminating in a championship match on Sunday, April 20. The East and West Girls Academy All-Star rosters will be announced in coming days.
